Men’s Jewellery Trend: Platinum Lapel Pins & Brooches

Celebrity men are no longer only wearing watches and rings on the red carpet. Stars including Michael B. Jordan, Rami Malek, Brendan Fraser, and Paul Mescal are choosing to complement their attire by adding pins and brooches set in platinum. From jabot styles with coloured gemstones to floral motif brooches with diamonds, Hollywood’s biggest names are making a statement with lapel jewellery.

Platinum Guild International, the marketing association for the platinum jewellery industry, notes that men are embracing platinum pins and brooches on lapels because they can completely change the look of their outfit and add a unique flair.

Why are the most spectacular pins brooches set in platinum? Platinum is a naturally white metal (unlike white gold), so it will make all diamonds and gemstones sparkle even brighter. Since platinum is one of the strongest natural materials on the planet, it will also hold stones most securely and last for generations. The metal is hypoallergenic and will never fade or turn yellow.
